Kaan Yıldırım became popular with his role in turkish series Buddy Istanbul (Ulan Istanbul). Kaan Yıldırım said that “I became so happy when I was chosen for a role in that turkish series.
The cast was so good. In fact, they needed cheap cast because their budget was limited. I learnt that they chose me because I was cheap. I understood the system later on. This tv series brought so many different things to us. Fortunately, I was part of it.”
